NE1 Bigg Market Mural

I was commissioned by NE1 to create a mural that celebrates the rich history of Bigg Market, funded by National Lottery Heritage fund you’ll find this up the lane to The Old George pub just off Bigg Market.

I really wanted to bring a lot of the history of the area into this piece and done a lot of research into its past, I’ve hidden little nuggets of information throughout, the buildings are a mixture of past and present shops and some of the people are actual people I spotted in old Bigg Market photos.
